All around the state of Oregon and spreading into California, Washington, Nevada and elsewhere Klamath Falls is the new area targeted for a "boom".

The driving force is that properties here are under-priced compared to the other Oregon cities of Medford, Bend, Eugene and Portland. They are under-priced compared to California, Arizona and Nevada. People realized that our lovely small city surrounded by beautiful mountains, lakes, green fields and a huge variety of wildlife is Oregon's best kept secret! Wide open spaces and an abundance of sunshine complete the picture.

Klamath Falls has a beautiful, alive and well downtown. It is the hub of business activites with the County and City administration buildings, our three Title and Escrow offices, Banks, many restaurants and a growing number of small businesses and shops. It has Veterans Park at the West end with boat launching into Lake Ewauna, picnic area and green lawns. Waterfowl of all kinds are seen throughout the year. Klamath Falls is on the Pacific Flyway so it is a natural nesting place for many species including Canada Geese. Bald and Golden Eagles are a common sight nearby. Enlarging the park is part of the long range plan. Future development downtown includes the Timber Mill Shores area which will border the lake.The new Amerititle Bldg. is the 1st building in the new development. A hotel, condominiums, shops and business area are planned.

The medical center underwent a huge new expansion and is technologically one of the top 15 hospitals in the nation according to their public relations staff. All patients have a room with a view and are housed in the new section of the hospital. It has a beautiful "Circle of Life Staircase" looking out on lovely year round gardens, new gift shop and restaurant.

Live theaters, the Library, the public Ellan Redkey Pool, the college "Oregon Institute of Technology" and a growing community college are scattered in various areas around Klamath Falls. The community has sponsored a family sports complex complete with soccer and baseball fields, a skate board park, concession area and bathrooms. One outdoor soccer field is lighted. The Wendt family donated a beautiful new indoor soccer field, as fine as any facility in the Pacific Northwest. Klamath County is a hunter and fisherman's paradise. Many lakes and streams nearby offer great flyfishing. Black Tail Deer are our year round neighbors and the higher country to the north have elk herds. We have occasional antelope visitors as there are herds nearby.
